They are visually similar systems, but the difference lies in the mobility of their slats. Shutters are systems based on adjustable slats, while louvres have fixed slats. Both louvres and shutters offer a wide range of alternatives in terms of construction systems.

Yes, Tamiluz offers a basic range of colours from the RAL chart, but we have the capacity to reproduce many more tones and shades. For example, the almost complete RAL range, both in gloss and matt, textured finishes, special chart finishes such as FUTURA or ANODIC, imitation wood as well as a wide range of anodized finishes.

Our solar protection elements, both fixed aluminium louvres and adjustable louvre blinds, are not designed to be vandal-proof. The robustness of the systems and the quality of their manufacture do provide a sense of security and are deterrents.

It depends on the type of system and the material chosen. There is no minimum order quantity for what we consider to be the “basic range” of roller shutters (adjustable blades) and louvres (fixed blades) with basic colour finishes. The other systems require minimum volume depending on the type of system and material chosen.

Yes, motorization is available for the adjustable louvre shutter systems and for the adjustable aluminium sun shades. It is also possible to motorize sliding or opening shutters or louvres.

For adjustable louvre slats, we suggest Canadian Red Cedar or Thermodur Fraké. For fixed louvre systems we suggest, depending on the quantity, Douglas Pine or Larch (both of French origin).

Tamiluz solar shading systems require little maintenance. In the case of common constructive solutions such as sliding or folding shutters, it is only necessary to periodically check the fittings and clean the guides. For wooden slat shutters, depending on the wood and the selected finish, maintenance will depend on the degree of exposure to sun and rain.
