Brise Soleil
Brise-soleils, also known as sunshades or sunbreakers, are systems of fixed or adjustable louvres of more than 1.50 m in length, generally used in office, healthcare, educational or commercial buildings. They form a passive solar protection system that significantly contributes to the building’s energy efficiency and to the well-being of its users, softening the interior temperature by filtering the entry of sun radiations.
Depending on the arrangement of the slats, we speak of horizontal brise-soleil or vertical brise-soleil.
TAMILUZ has extensive experience in the custom design of passive solar protection systems and offers aluminium brise-soleil systems as well as wood or HPL brise-soleil systems.
We design and produce the brise-soleil systems in our production centre in Barcelona, with selected materials of European origin, with high prestige certifications.

Aluminium finishes:
- all colours from the RAL chart, both glossy and matt
- all the lacquers from the Futura range (application under the Qualicoat label)
In anodized aluminium systems, TAMILUZ offers a wide range of shades, with a standard thickness of 15 microns (20 microns as an option), using a process that complies with Qualanod guidelines.
TAMILUZ brise soleil are custom-designed for each project, based on the architect’s original idea or the installer’s needs. Our catalogue is the tool that allows us to initiate the dialogue that will lead to the final design, based on the architectural and constructive characteristics required.
