In the TAMILUZ world, both the wooden and the aluminium adjustable louvred shutters are made-to-measure systems with movable louvres, mounted on an aluminium frame, as opposed to fixed louvres shutters, which are fixed slats systems.
The adjustable louvred shutters are movable slats systems that allow users to personalize the degree of sun shading, ventilation and privacy at any time by simply changing the blade orientation, either manually or by an engine.
The made-to-measure design of the Tamiluz adjustable louvred shutter systems contemplates both the separation between blades and their shape and overlap, as well as their material, thus ensuring an infinite number of ways of filtering light and heat as well as maintaining privacy.
The advantages of adjustable louvres shutters as a sun shading system have been well-known since ancient times across the Mediterranean area, and their use has been spreading throughout Europe. A TAMILUZ adjustable blade system, regardless of whether it is a vertical or horizontal shutter system, is always mounted on an aluminium frame, applied to guides or to an external frame.
That frame, in turn, is fixed or mobile, depending on the architectural solution chosen for a given project. Our brand provides numerous construction alternatives, whether sliding, folding, raising, fixed, etc. The multiple combinations of all the elements, therefore, offer many types of outdoor shutters, with very different styles and are capable of responding to the needs of any architectural project.

Shutters and materials
In coherence with our brand’s philosophy of made-to-measure design and our demand for quality, TAMILUZ offers a wide range of materials, styles and functionalities for shutter blades. Aluminium, heat-treated wood, HPL are some materials proposed, with aluminium being our only choice for the frame and the outer frame: it allows us to guarantee an excellent and long-lasting final result. When talking about wooden shutters, we will therefore talk about wooden blade shutters on an aluminium frame, and when talking about aluminium shutters, we will talk about aluminium blade shutters on an aluminium frame.
Aluminium finishes:
- all colours from the RAL chart, both glossy and matt
- all lacquers from the Futura chart (application under Qualicoat label).
In anodized aluminium systems, TAMILUZ offers a wide variety of shades, with a standard thickness of 15 microns (20 microns as an option), with a process that respects the Qualanod seal guidelines.
